Acting Shakespeare: 02
Instructor: Caretti, T.
The primary goal of this class is to introduce the young high school actor to the rigors of classical acting and to the brilliance of Shakespeare’s theatre, which evolved out of the English Renaissance, but continues to be appealing to audiences in our time. This class will investigate why acting Shakespeare is an excellent adventure. The students in this class will be introduced to fine performances, both on videotape and on live regional stages. They will simultaneously study the actor’s craft in developing such performances so that they may play Shakespeare well themselves. This is a semester class taught in conjunction with Directing
